EVN Wine Academy was founded jointly by ICARE/ATC and "Semina Consulting" CJSC. The Academy offers a wide platform for structured and recreational learning about wine and wine making. The courses vary from short one month long certificate-based courses about basics of wine, to an eighteen month certificate-based "Oenology and Wine Business" course, taught in collaboration with an EU based University.
MissionThe mission of EVN Wine Academy is to provide a platform for structured and recreational learning about wine and wine-making, and to promote wine culture and appreciation.
The EVN Wine Avademy has signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation and Friendship with the Geisenheim University, Germany.
According to the Memorandum, the two institutions are undertaking to develop and strengthen mutual support in teaching Enology and Viticulture, Enology and Wine Business, and International Wine Business, as well as carry out student and faculty exchange and joint research programs in viticulture and winemaking and organize conferences and seminars addressing teaching and research issues and other activities of mutual interest.
Within the framework of this program 10 EVN students are currently at Geisenheim University studying Enology and Wine Business. All together they have formed an “EVN community” and besides studies they also organize some nice gatherings involving international students as well.
