RIO Mall

The RIO shopping center, owned by Tashir group of companies of Russia-based billionaire of Armenian origin Samvel Karapetyan, opened its Yerevan RIO mall in November 2017. 

RIO is the largest Russian network of shopping and entertainment centers. In November 2014, it said it would invest $40 million in its Armenia project. The shopping and entertainment center with a total area of 21 thousand square meters is located in the Arabkir administrative district on Papazyan Street.

The major lessees are a grocery supermarket, Cinema Star network and the PlayLab children's entertainment center. Other lessees are Food Court, cafes and restaurants.

The first largest shopping and entertainment center in Yerevan was the Dalma Garden Mall, also owned by Tashir that opened in October 2012. The second major shopping and entertainment center - Yerevan Mall opened in February 2014 and Rossia Mall opened in March 2016l. -0-
